F.R.E.E. (Freediving Regulations & Education Entity)
is happy to announce two new freediving world records.
On July 19th, Turkish freediver Yasemin Dalkilic established
the new record in the Limited Variable Ballast category
(Salt-Water) with a historic dive to 100 meters/ 328
feet in a dive time of 2:30 minutes. With this dive
Yasemin became the first female to break the 100 meter
mark in this category.
Four days later, on July 23rd, Yasemin
put her name on our Record List again, this time reaching
120 meters/394 feet in the Unlimited Variable Ballast
category (Salt-Water) in a dive time of 2:45 minutes.
Both dives took place in Bodrum, Turkey. F.R.E.E. Judges
Hal Watts (USA) and Rudi De Nardo (Italy) were appointed
to verify these attempts. F.R.E.E. congratulates Yasemin
on these two phenomenal accomplishments and wishes her
